Before I get into sharing
Today's Power Trip , I want to mention a few headlines that caught my observation.
How about the headline that read something like, "Famous actor put's his money where clean water should be applied. " Of course, this actor is concerned about the billion most people without enough clean water. Here in the weather forest of America, it's hard to imagine spending 80% of your day looking for and collecting water. I just hope those people in those other areas solve their water problem prior to the situation spreads to my own backyard. Is this a power conservation problem? Is this something we need to be concerned with once we live so far gone?
Another account that grabbed my attention has to do with changing the oil in your car. I guess some organization in California is suggesting that cars is not required to have the oil improved every three thousand mile after mile. The owners manual inside my car recommends an oil change frequency of 3, 000 kilometer after kilometer. I guess new (and real) evidence recommends cars can go 5, 000 to help 15, 000 miles properly between oil changes. Considering all the cars in California, adjusting the oil replacement consistency from 3, 000 mile after mile to 6, 000 miles would save a sail boat load of oil. I realize this about energy resource efficiency, but I wonder how concerned people are and whether they will make changes for the good of energy productivity.
I know two things definitely, I have been changing the oil in my little Ford every 6, 000 miles for many years and it's humming along prefer it was new. I additionally know, when I was driving 18 wheelers, I changed the oil inside Cummins engine every some other week or every 10, 000 mile after mile, which ever came first.
Cross Over duct Carries a Problem:
Yesterday, I had the good fortune to enter in the underfloor space on a double wide manufactured home. The homeowner contacted me and indicated the home was not heating well on one side. I asked him if the side on the town that was not home heating well was the side of the home that did not have the furnace room. He confirmed that was the case.
A increase wide manufactured home contains the furnace installed on one side and a cross over duct that carries the air over to the some other side. When one side of a double wide is heating well along with the other side is not necessarily, it is almost always a problem with the cross above duct.
With the help of a pair of coveralls, a paper mask, flashlight, and a camera, I head under the home. I spot the crossover duct and head inside general direction, altering my own course to wiggle with a 3 inch pressure pipe. I don't go really far before my nose brings the result to the heating problem.
