Ashok Bagdy

Tampa, Florida, resident Ashok Bagdy hails from India and has made significant contributions to companies in both the United States and India. He began his career as a Principal in his family's business, the Bagdy Group, where he gained invaluable experience developing business opportunities and increasing revenues. When Ashok Bagdy relocated to the United States, he completed his Master of Science in Computer and Information Science at Temple University in Philadelphia. Shortly thereafter, he joined Hay Group, where he acted as Senior Database Administrator, maintaining databases that supported more than 40 consultants nationwide.

After his work with Hay Group, Ashok Bagdy accepted the position of Head of U.S. Operations at Philadelphia's Hiltex Exports and established a U.S. presence for the company's line of fabrics. He subsequently served as Director of Business Development at YouKnowBest.com; in that role, he contributed significantly to the growth of the business and headed the company's vendor initiative. In 2002, Ashok Bagdy joined Copytalk as Director of Business Development, in which capacity he utilized his talents to develop the company's U.S. client base and forged relationships with transcription companies located in the Philippines and India. In addition, Ashok Bagdy aided Copytalk's sister company, arranging for the provision of live medical transcription services to a well-known Indian firm.

In 2003, Ashok Bagdy joined Cameo Corporate Services Limited, a Chennai, India-based company, as Vice President of Business Development. In that position, he became familiar with the company's business process outsourcing (BPO) division, developing relationships with U.S. companies. Today, he serves as Vice President of Outsourcing Services in Cameo's Tampa office, heading the BPO division and managing human resources, finance, and operations.

Ashok Bagdy supports the March of Dimes Foundation. Never forgetting his Indian roots, Ashok Bagdy volunteers at his local Hindu temple and various events presented by the Indian community in Tampa. In addition, Ashok Bagdy volunteers with Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation, an organization that provides educational programs for underserved children in rural villages in India.
