Once installed, EyeDefender sits in the system tray and displays the time left until the next break.

I'm currently trying EyeDefender. It has a small memory footprint (6172Kb), so you can just let it startup when you boot your Windows box.

Dogpile.com is a metasearch engine that puts Google, Yahoo!, Live Search, and Ask to work as one for your searching needs.

“If you had a choice between a single-person search party, or a search team of half-a-dozen, which would you choose? Yep, us too. Why not put six search engines to work on something in the same time it takes to use one? This is what we call metasearch. Dogpile puts the power all the leading search engines together in one search box to deliver the best combined results. The process is more efficient and yields more relevant results. ” [Dogpile]

If you like, you can *optionally* download their browser toolbar, but I’d suggest skipping the toolbar and just go to the URI. (Not a big fan of toolbar add-ons.)

Asus P527 and P320 Phone Accessories

High end features, such as an auto-focus camera and GPS navigation, are just a couple of the characteristics that make up the Asus P527 Windows Mobile Smartphone. The Asus P320 however, with its exceptional elegance, is designed for fashion-conscious consumers who strive to accessorize - especially where their handheld choices are concerned.

Proporta’s traditional Alu-Leather Case and Advanced Screen Protector are a must if you want to keep your device in immaculate condition. Proporta offer this style of case and screen protection both for the Asus P527 and Asus P320.

The Alu-Leather Case (Asus P527) and Alu-Leather Case (Asus P320), like many of Proporta’s cases, are hand crafted to meet the exact specifications of your device and features their ‘Screen Saver System’ using a sheet of rigid, lightweight aircraft grade aluminium to protect your Asus against crushing and impact shocks.

Such a convenient little product, there’s no reason to ever have to remove your device from the case as all the necessary cut outs are provided to give access to all ports and controls.

A Proporta Advanced Screen Protector is also a must-have if you want the precious screen of your Asus P527 or Asus P320 to stay in pristine condition. Proporta have been able to improve the thickness of the high-clarity plastic that they’re manufactured from, without impairing screen brightness or quality.

P.S. At Proporta we take pleasure in giving, although this time we’ve decided not to make it so easy… you’re going to have to do a bit of sleuthing. Somewhere on our site we’ve set up a special promotion code for a rather impressive 25% discount. Be a detective for the day. All you need to do is find where we’ve hidden it, and provided you order Proporta branded products – the discount is yours. Happy hunting.

(Thanks to Hannah Saffman for the news.)

Logitech MX1100 Cordless Laser Mouse Reviewed

The Logitech MX1100 (US$79.99) is a cordless laser mouse that features:

    2.4 GHz wireless technology

    400 - 1600 dpi sensor

2 x AA battery power source (nine-month claimed battery life)

2 x thumb and 1 x stealth thumb buttons

On/Off switch

battery status indicator

three removable Teflon pads

SetPoint mouse software

dimensions: 4.80 x 3.45 x 1.91-inches (L x W x H)

"Logitech's newest addition in two years to their MX brand of mice didn't disappoint, but it didn't impress either. Its predecessor, the MX Revolution, took general mice to new heights when it debuted, though many would argue that it was ahead of its time and a bit "out there" for consumers. Logitech simply took the MX Revolution, lightly morphed its design, refined some hardware nuisances, and added a few features to make the MX1100. " [ExtremeTech | Logitech MX1100]

ExtremeTech gave the MX1100 a 4 out 5 rating ("Very Good"). If you loved the MX Revolution, you'd probably also like the MX1100.
