Connecticut attorney Charles R. Knight brings considerable expertise in a diverse array of legal work to his current position as Senior Counsel to the Pastore Law Group in Stamford, CT. A practicing lawyer for more than 35 years, Charles Knight is experienced as a lobbyist, a securities and exchange lawyer, a patent attorney, a commercial litigator, and a municipal judge. Concurrent to his work with Pastore Law Group, Charles Knight served as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Flight Safety Technologies, Inc. In this role, Charles Knight managed international trade agreements, oversaw SEC compliance and reporting, and handled governmental relations for the company. Attorney Charles Knight completed his work with Flight Safety Technologies in June 2008. Attorney Charles Robert Knight began his career as an attorney after graduating from the Indiana University School of Law. A talented student, Charles R. Knight quickly showed his skill as the General Counsel to the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns. In this position for seven years, Charles Knight served as the lead lobbyist in the Indiana state legislature for all of Indiana’s mayors. From the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, Charles Knight became a partner in the Indianapolis-based Stewart & Irwin Law Firm, where he negotiated international trade agreements for a number of prominent domestic and international corporations. Charles R. Knight next moved into the field of insurance law as the lead Claim Counsel for Aetna Property and Casualty Company. In his high-level position, Charles Knight directed the efforts of 200 attorneys from 24 locations across the United States. Charles Knight also recruited and trained attorneys and contracted services from law firms nationwide. Attorney Charles Knight carried his experience from Aetna into the establishment of his own private practice, where he would work for the next 12 years before joining Brown Raysman. A member of the American Bar Association, Charles R. Knight is widely respected in legal circles and has maintained an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell throughout his career. Outside of his legal work, Charles Knight enjoys writing and frequently contributes articles to newspapers and other publications, such as the Notre Dame Literary Magazine and the Indianapolis Monthly Magazine.
