DR. CHRISTOPHER SMART

Dr. Christopher Smart currently serves the community surrounding Providence Seaside Hospital. Christopher Smart has acted as Attending Physician with the Oregon medical center since 2005. Prior to that, Christopher Smart delivered exceptional care with the Ferry County Memorial Hospital in Republic, Washington. Staff Physician Christopher Smart was recruited by the Washington clinic upon completing his residency in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Christopher Smart began with Providence Seaside Hospital in 2005. From 2000 to 2003, Christopher Smart successfully fulfilled a family practice residency at Sioux Valley Hospital. Prior to his residency, Christopher Smart attended the University of Albert's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and secured an M.D. in 2000. Christopher Smart won Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Alberta, Canada. Christopher Smart moved to Edmonton, Alberta upon fulfilling degrees in Biology and Chemistry at Eastern Washington University. From 1991 to 1995, Christopher Smart attended the celebrated Washington institution. Christopher Smart secured his Bachelors of Arts, summa cum laude, before moving on to win honors in Canadian medical school. Christopher Smart is associated with the American Academy of Family Medicine and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Holding certification with the American Board of Family Medicine, Christopher Smart is licensed in both Washington and Oregon. Christopher Smart lives and works in Seaside, Oregon, concentrating his practice on family and emergency medicine. Christopher Smart focuses on rural areas, opting to provide a high level of evidence-driven care to underserved Oregon communities. A member of the British Army from 1978 to 1991, Christopher Smart remains involved with veterans affairs.
