Last Weekend…in Abuja.

I had the privilege of traveling with my spiritual father and life coach Pastor Paul Adefarasin over the last weekend. It was a mission trip to Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.

It was a great way for me to renew my spiritual commitment and prepare myself for the second half of this year.I can still remember almost every one of those life-changing words my coach spoke to me.I can still feel the warmth of the ambiance, the joy of networking with some really cool people who are doing great stuff and the taste of those delicious delicacies still linger on my taste buds.I still remember the thrill of navigating the broad road network without the typical traffic hassles of Lagos but beyond all that I can never forget the privilege I had to learn-just by observation.

I can confidently say I learnt a lot more than I could share in this post.

By and large, that’s one trip I won’t forget in along time and I just couldn’t think of a better way to begin the second half of the year.

My Humble Donation To your Destiny

Many years ago, one of my mentor forced these line into my brain “excuses are tools of the incompetent, monuments of nothing;those that use them are not wise and they rarely succeed in life.”

Just in case you are wondering why I started this post with that seemingly insensitive statement,I’ll tell you-it just occured to me that its been almost three weeks since I posted any write up on this blog.

As you may have guessed, I immediately gave myself a thousand and one “reasons” for that but on a second thought I reminded myself of those life-changing lines…

The truth is you’d always have enough reasons for not doing what you know you should do.

You know what I’m saying, don’t you?

There would always be a reason why you should arrive at the meeting late…heavy traffic, unprecedented delays

A reason for you to put up that nasty attitude…they got on your nerves right?

A reason to oversleep…you were dog-tired the night before uhn?

A reason to overeat…you are famished(that’s not your fault, or is it?)

A reason to abuse the other fellow (we call it speaking our minds)

A reason to break that promise…things don’t always turn out the way we plan.

A reason to not put up a post for almost three weeks…

Well, what I’ve discovered is that no matter how many reasons you have to not do what you know you ought to do, all you need is just one reason to do it.

That sounds somewhat ambiguos, so I might as well put it this way-all you need is one reason to get something done.

That one reason becomes your MOTIVATION-MOTIVE FOR ACTION.

  IT BECOMES YOUR DRIVING FORCE.

I have asked myself the question “why did you set up this blog?”

The truth is there are many reasons but the primary reason, my ultimate motivation is to enrich the lives of others by providing quality information on personal transformation, business optimization and social reformation.

This blog is my donation to your life and your mission.

That is why I have made a resolution to keep it alive and not let my other “busynesses” distract me from making my contribution to your life.

I may never be able to feed all the hungry children in the world but I can feed a couple of people whose minds are hungry for wisdom.

I might not be able to break every innocent person out of their prisons like Michael Scoffield but I sure can release a couple of people out of their emotional, psychological and spiritual constraints.

I might not be able to give you a hug but I might be able to warm you up with my words and get you revved up to fulfill your purpose in life.

I am going to put up new posts regularly and I hope you’d help me by telling me what kind of information you’d like to get.

All you’ve got to do is drop your comments right below every post and we’d get rolling.

This is my humble contribution to your destiny and I hope you like it.

You Can’t Hit a Target You Don’t Have.

We are nearly half way into this year and I have been assessing my performance so far.I haven’t achieved as much as I thought I would have but I am grateful to God that I am making progress in every area of my life.I am not where I thought I would be by now but it feels good to know that I am not where I used to be.

I realize that not everybody can say that. Some people haven’t made any significant move towards their goals. There may be a variety of reasons for that but the main reason why many people never hit their targets is because they have no targets in the first place. Not every one has goals, targets, deadlines. Not everyone is motivated to do something significant with their lives. Many people uphold the “que sera sera ” philosophy. They believe that what will be will be.If you are one of such people, I’m sorry to disappoint you because what will be may not always be (excuse my grammar).

If it’s going to be, it’s up to me.

You’ve got to have targets..goals..deadlines.You must have a list of things you want to do.

Imagine a game of soccer without goalposts.

Imagine a game of basketball without a ring.

Imagine a game of golf without any hole.

Imagine throwing darts without the bull’s eye.

A life without goals can never be a life of excellence.

If you don’t have any goals, it’s not too late.I believe this post has provided the inspiration you need to set your goals and work towards them.It would be a brilliant idea to pick up a pen and a jotter immediately after you read this post.

Do some brainstorming and set well defined goals for the rest of the year starting from today.Don’t just write the goals on paper, make sure they are etched on the tables of your heart but more importantly, take at least one step towards the direction of your goals everyday.

10 Effective Ways To Reduce Your Business Costs

One of my reasons for setting up this blog is to provide information on how you can maximise your business potential. Now I’m not trying to suggest that I’m a business guru.I’d let time and the results I produce do the talking for me but I must also make it clear that I know a few things that could significantly increase your bottom line.

Here are ten effective ways to reduce your business cost without compromising your product and service quality…

  1. Barter
If you have a business you should be bartering goods
and services with other businesses. You should try to
trade for something before you buy it. Barter deals
usually require little or no money.

  2. Network
Network your business with other businesses.
This will cut down on your marketing and advertising costs. You
may also try bartering goods and services with them.

  3. Wholesale/Bulk
You’ll save money buying your business supplies in
bulk quantities. You could get a membership at a
wholesale warehouse or buy them through a mail
order wholesaler. Buy the supplies you are always
running out of.

  4. Free Stuff
Visit some of the thousands of freebie sites
on the internet before buying your business supplies.
You can find free software, graphics, backgrounds,
online business services etc.

  5. Borrow/Rent
Have you ever purchased business equipment you
only needed for a small period of time? You could
have just borrowed the equipment from someone
else or rented the equipment from a “rent-all” store.

  6. Online/Offline Auctions
You can find lower prices on business supplies and
equipment at online and offline auctions. I’m not
saying all the time, but before you go pay retail for
these items try bidding on them first.

  7. Plan Ahead
Make a list of business supplies or equipment you’ll
need in the future. Keep an eye out for stores that
have big sales. Purchase the supplies when they go
on sale before you need them.

  8. Used Stuff
If your business equipment and supplies don’t need
to be new, buy them used. You can find used items
at yard and garage sales, used stores, used stuff
for sale message boards and newsgroups etc.

  9. Negotiate
You should always try negotiate a lower price for
any business equipment or supplies. It doesn’t hurt
to try. Pretend you are talking to a salesman at a car
lot.

  10. Search
You can always be searching for new suppliers for
your business supplies and equipment. Look for
suppliers with lower prices and better quality. Don’t
just be satisfied with a few.

My Facebook Addiction!

  I have a quick confession to make…

i’m fast becoming a facebook junkie.

If you are reading this post, chances are that you know what facebook is but Just in case you don’t, I’ll give you a lil’ intro…

Facebook is a social networking site launched on february 4, 2004.The website is owned and operated by Facebook Inc.The free access website allows people to join networks such as a school, place of employment, geographic location. It allows you to connect and interact with other people. allows you to upload your pictures, send messages to your friends, play games, advertise, make more friends( money if you know the right things to do) and have fun without compromising your morality.

I have “met” people I thought i’d never meet again on facebook-people I haven’t heard anything about in ten years.I have seen people I haven’t set my eyes on in seven years on facebook. One of the good things about facebook is that it helps you bypass protocol and connect with almost anybody you really want to be friends with. For instance,in less than one week of joining facebook, I was able to communicate directly with a one-time presidential candidate of a great country on facebook! If I wanted to do that offline, you can be sure it would have taken me a couple of days, maybe months of talking with this, that and the other person-having to wait in this lounge or that room but with facebook, I sent one message and voila…we got talking!

The truth is I’m fascinated with facebook. There are many reasons for that but I can’t squeeze them all in this post but you can be sure that I’ll keep giving you updates.Meanwhile you can view my facebook profile right here.Enjoy!

SUCCESS UNIVERSITY-more questions answered…

I’m so sorry i didn’t address all the questions about success university in my last post.I have decide to continue in this post…enjoy and more importantly, take action!

How do I get people to join?

Success University’s team of expert marketers and programmers has developed a complete marketing system for you to use for FREE for the lifetime of your Success University membership. One of the main features of this turn-key marketing system is that you’ll have your very own professionally-designed website (just like this one) that will do all the selling for you. Your website is a tireless recruiting machine that does a sales presentation for you… it works for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week… it never gets tired… it never calls in sick… and it does a perfect presentation every time.

What does it cost to get started? What if I change my mind after I enroll?

Success University charges $149.95 for your Premium Product Package. You pay only $49.95 per month (+$5.95 Shipping & Handling) thereafter for your tuition.

  Is there a Guarantee?

YES! By enrolling today, you’ll receive a 30 DAY IRON-CLAD, 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. You’ll have 30 full days to go through the Success University Premium Product Package… if you don’t feel that it’s worth every penny and more after you’ve gone through the materials, simply return your product package in re-usable condition and we’ll refund your entire enrollment fee. You’ll even get to keep all $848 in Free Bonus Courses as our way of saying thanks for trying it out! It’s Completely Risk-Free!

NOW TO THE BIG QUESTION…HOW DO I PAY?

The only payment option accepted worlwide by SUCCESS UNIVERSITY is credit card.

You CANNOT pay with e-gold or any e-currency.

    You CANNOT pay with cash.

You CANNOT pay with paypal, moneybookers or bankdraft.

It has to be a credit card or debit.

Here are a few options that I know you could explore…

    GTBank MASTERCARD

This is what I currently use for all my card-based transactions online and I hav never been denied on the grounds of my localty.Don’t be caught in the trap that foreign merchants don’t accept our local credit/debit cards. One of my seniorcolleagues in the internet marketing industry, Lateef Olajide corroborated this point at a seminar last year when he made it abundantly clear that he transacts business online with a credit card issued by one of our local banks.

To be able to secure a GTBank card, you need…

    a domicilliary(dollar) account

    a minimum deposit of $100

You will be charged $10 for card fee

and $20 as annual maintenance charge.

This means that if you are just opening your domiilliary account and you want to have $200 dollars on your card, you will fund it wit $230

Just walk into the GTBank nearest to you and make enquiries.you’d be told everything you need to do.

    ZENITH websurfer card

I have used this to pay for my SUCCESS UNIVERSITY tuition on two occassions and it worked just fine. The great thing is that you don’t need to have a domicilliary account in order to obtain a zenith websurfer card. It’s a very simple process.Just click this for details.

Follow the instructions. They are simple and straight forward.

Much like GTBank mastercard, you need a minimum deposit of $100 and you’ll be charged $10 for card fee and $20 for annual maintenance.

    GTN Virtual Visa Card

I talked with Bola Oni, the amiable moderator of our Nation’s premier internet marketing forum-Success Digest Leadership Forum a couple of days ago and he recommended the GTN virtual visa card. I called the guys over there and they seem to know what they are doing. Just go here for details.

You can contact them right away for more information!

Ever since I placed the advert about success university in success digest, i’ve had several hundreds of people sign up under me as prospects. The response has been impressive. So many people want to come on boardbecause they see the potential of the program. I’ve also been asked loads of questions.I promised to compile the questions and post the answers right here instead of replying individual enquiries.

Feel free to post comments after reading this post so that I can have proper feedback.Just click on the comment link and if you have any question other than the ones that I’ve answered here, do let me know.

  What is Success University?

Success University is the world’s first online learning company devoted exclusively to personal development and entrepreneurialism. It provides her students a convenient, time saving way to utilize online tools to speed up the learning process. You’ll have access to the leading names in personal development — people like Brian Tracy… Cynthia Kersey… Robert Allen… Les Brown… Jay Abraham… and dozens of other world class authors, teachers and coaches.

Success University also offers an income opportunity without equal. Statistics show that the majority of the adult population is extremely interested in learning how be more successful. The industry that markets books, courses and seminars on success and personal development is a multi-billion dollar per year industry. Success university has created a unique cash flow referral system that allows you to tap into this booming market. While there are no guarantees about what you’ll earn, the program is probably the most advanced of its kind by fairly and evenly ‘distributing the wealth’.You get great value for your money.

Is Success University a “Multi-Level Marketing” Company?

Everyone has a different definition of “Multi-Level Marketing” or “Network Marketing”. If your question is:

“Do I have to spend half of my day to convince people to join?”

“Do I have to invite friends and relatives to meetings?”

“Do I have to wait for boards to split several times before I start earning some money?”

“Do I have to fill out a lot of paperwork and keep track of ‘who’s who’ in my group?”

“Do I have to pay a lot of money up front to get started?”

The answer to your question is a big NO.

    If your question is:

“Can I make an additional income, without leaving my home, while I’m setting my own hours, and learning all there is to know about success in the process?”

Then the answer is a big YES.

I missed my flight…twice!(concluding part)

I might as well cut to the chase and tell you how i missed my flight.

When I woke on monday morning, I spent a few moments thanking God for the precious gift of another day.

I had a quick breakfast of oats and headed for the airport, hoping to make the first flight to Lagos. The light was scheduled for 9:15 am.Unfortunately, I had been (mis)informed by an acquaintance that the flight was for 9:30 am so as you may have guessed, the plane had taken off by the time I got to the airport. I was told that the next flight was for 12:30pm. Thank God, my hosts were still around.I would have probably been bored to death if they had left the airport.

I secured my ticket for the next flight and decided to take a quick tour of the city rather than lounge in the airport.

My very good friend, Flourish (yes, that’s his real name) was familiar with the terrain, so he was the “tour guide” and my fantastic host, Christina was my fellow tourist. We drove around the city and visited two of the four Universities that the city boasts of-the University of Benin and Benson Idahosa University where I was able to pick up a few books to nourish my mind and refresh my spirit. We also saw landmarks like the mausoleum where the body of the legendary Archbishop Benson Idahosa was interred. We walked into the Faith Arena.

We drove past the Oba’s palace and Flourish was kind enough to tell me some veeeery interesting tales about the city. Then we headed for the airport. On arriving at the airport, passengers were already on the queue to board our plane.I immediately joined the queue and waved my Flourish and Christina bye.

Just as I was about to get on board, one of the flight attendants asked for my boarding pass…then it occured to me that I hadn’t checked in.I had been carried away by my sight-seeing.Checking in had totally skipped my mind.Of course you can’t fly if you don’t check in-that’s the protocol. My adrenaline began to rush in reverse.I had a lot to do in Lagos that afternoon and I urged the attendant to get me a seat.He obliged but on the condition that there were still seats available. He counted the ticket stubs and voila…they were exactly the number of seats on board, the plane was full.I was upset…with myself but my displeasure didn’t last much longer. There were two of us who missed that flight. We saw the plane take off and disappear into the distance.

The other lady was terribly disheartened. but I wasn’t sad for too long.

  You may wonder why.

Several reasons but primarily because I had to console the other lady. She was in tears because missing that flight to Lagos also meant she was missing the flight from Lagos…to Maiduguri! worse still, she had cancelled her flight the previous day and…everything seemed to be going wrong!

Well, we had to wait till 5pm. I called my hosts and they came back to pick me.We spent some time at the lounge of a cozy hotel and ate some bowlfuls of “eba”( a traditional african dish) before heading for the airport. This time, I checked in forty minutes before my flight.Lesson learnt. One of the attendants that I had made friends with earlier gave me a front seat and I had enough room to myself.

I got some time to chat with the other lady and by the time I left her, she was smiling. We had a smooth flight to Lagos and I was still able to do most of what I had scheduled for the day.The day ended well and I’m still counting my blessings because I learnt a couple of lessons…

Get the right information. If I had known the first flight was scheduled for 9:15, I would have made it to the airport in good time

      Never forget to check in.

Don’t spent too much time frolicking that you forget the business of the day.

There’s a blessing in every disappointment. In spite of the disappointment, I had the privilege of lifting someone’s burden and putting a smile on her face and I got a front seat with enough space to lounge.

Never let a disappointment rob you of your appointment.I was still able to do the things I wantde to do in Lagos.

No matter how many flights you miss, don’t miss the last one.You may have missed out on many opportunities in life but there’s another one right in front of you-don’t miss it!

  Enough said.

Stick around for more true stories that inspire!

I missed my flight…twice!(contd.)

I had the privileged of being the speaker at an event at the famous University of Benin on sunday, the twentieth of April and it was an experience to say the least.

It was my first time in that ancient city and that visit is one I won’t forget for several reasons.

First of all, I spent almost seven hours on my way to Benin.I was told that it was a three and a half hour journey but to my consternation, I spent twice as much time as I had budgeted. The roads were as bumpy as the road to golgotha.Thankfully, a few things got me going-the interesting conversations of the other passengers, a book I was reading and most of all the assignment I had ahead of me.

Secondly, I got to Benin just in time for my presentation.I had a few minutes to munch on something. Then I was ushered to the venue.

I spoke about personal transformation.I buttressed the fact that transformation is always a function of revelation. The more revelation you have, the more transformation you’ll experience.

Simply put-IF YOU WANT MORE TRANSFORMATION, GET MORE REVELATION!

I used a mirror to drive home the point.God’s word to us is like a mirror. It shows us who we really are and just like we make necessary adjustment when we look in the mirror, we ought also to make adjustments in our mindsets, attitudes, opinions, relationships and expectations when we look into the mirror of God’s word.

When we look into physical mirrors, we make up our faces but when we look into the Word, we make up our minds.

I felt fulfilled at the end of my message to those young people.I knew they were fired up to reach for more of God and ultimately to discover more of what they could become.I knew there were scores of people whose passion for life-changing information had been rekindled; young men and women who will not rest till they become all they could be.

After that interesting session, I chatted with a few people and made a handful of friends. Then, I was chauffered to my lodge and I had a wonderful night rest…
