David Aronica

David Aronica leverages 15 years of management experience in the technology industry toward his current position as Director of Global Education Design & Development for VMware, a Silicon Valley-based software manufacturer specializing in enterprise-level virtualization solutions and services. David Aronica joined VMware in 2004 as Senior Manager of Sales & Technical Field Readiness. David Aronica also served as Director of Partner Enablement & Field Readiness. In his current role, David Aronica oversees the development and implementation of all education and training materials for VMware’s sales professionals, customers, and more than 20,000 corporate partners. David Aronica successfully managed the merger of these three disparate groups into a single Education Organization, effectively reducing costs and opening opportunities for further growth and expansion. Through David Aronica’s efforts, VMware experienced tremendous growth, expanding from 600 employees and $250 million revenue to 2,700 employees and $2 billion revenue. David Aronica began his career as a Corporate Account Manager for The Sales Board, where he sold sales training materials based on the “Action Selling” methodology. David Aronica also served as a Certified Trainer, teaching the company’s techniques to sales organizations, account managers, and business development teams from more than 75 companies. David Aronica next joined Ornetix Network Products as Regional Sales Manager, contributing 14% of the company’s revenue. Prior to joining VMware, David Aronica worked in several roles for Sun Microsystems, including Senior Business Development Manager and Senior Product Manager. An avid runner, David Aronica participated in the Honolulu Marathon, where he ran to raise money for leukemia research. David Aronica also enjoys bicycling and rode from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for AIDS research. David Aronica earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. David Aronica also possesses an MBA from Cornell University.
