David Bergen

David Bergen is a senior-level IT executive with a proven track record of success in dynamic, challenging environments. As a Management Advisory Consultant at Alvarez & Marsal, David Bergen leverages more than 30 years of experience in supply chain management and IT, and he has earned a reputation for his ability to drive large scale change, collaborate with others, and architect and lead short- and long-term solutions.

David Bergen joined Levi Strauss & Co. as Senior Vice President and Global CIO in 2000. For eight years, David Bergen drove a total renovation of the company's IT organization where he architected and built a strong IT team, implemented SAP globally, fostered new e-commerce capabilities, and built a common global retail platform.

Moreover, David Bergen was responsible for major performance improvements and innovation at The Gap, Inc., where he spent a total of 13 years and rose through progressively higher positions, from Project Manager to Director to Senior Director, and finally to Vice President of Global IT Application Development. At The Gap, David Bergen implemented the corporation's first worldwide, high-transaction IBM Point of Sales System. David Bergen spent an additional four years at Esprit de Corps as Vice President of Application Development.

David Bergen is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems (MIS). Now a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, David Bergen enjoys playing golf and tennis and participating in triathlons.
