London, United Kingdom: An Information Technology text book considered to be the most detailed of its kind for Caribbean students' has been unveiled by Amazon.com, the world's largest international retail merchant.
The text book, Mastering Information Technology V.1 for CXC CAPE is an independent project of the United Kingdom's Learning Tree Educational Media Group, with substantial material input from Microsoft (Makers of the Windows Operating system), Facebook Ireland, and Google UK.

The entire content of the text book was written and assembled by Guyanese Information Technology Engineer, Mr. Dennis Adonis, who is also the author of the first reference book on the upcoming Microsoft Windows 8 Operating System.

Unlike compositions with similar intent, the text book provided exceptional details and previously unseen graphic illustrations consistent with British GCSE O' Levels Standards, and reportedly exceeded the scope of the CXC/ CSEC CAPE syllabus.

Much more emphasis has been placed on widening the students' knowledge of information technology, functional aspects of computers, office applications, productivity through I.T, and improved performance in the workplace through I.T.

At least two British Universities has already decided to add the textbook to their first year curriculum, while several educational departments within the Caribbean has already decided to integrate the textbook into their Information Technology training agenda.

In his Preface, as Author of the book, Adonis had implied that the current instructional guidelines utilized by Caribbean schools', and the recommended delivery format that teachers are currently using to tutor Informational Technology in Caribbean schools is a failed methodology. He infers that there is a simpler way for students to learn and grasp the subject area; hence the pass rate at CXC CAPE could be better improved.

In England, he had argued his case, and after several months of research and scrutiny, the Information Technology community seemed to have agreed with him. Thus he was task with the challenge of putting together a text book that follows a more universally acceptable path not necessarily aligned to the format currently in use by CXC, but must covers the syllabus beyond its listed limitations.

In the end, the Mastering Information Technology V.1 for CXC CAPE textbook was born, as a public interest educational project. Several modified versions of the textbook have also been created in order to make it a standard academic instructional book for informational technology throughout the Commonwealth, in addition to first and second year students attending university.

Sources associated with the project explained that the final text book script provided by Adonis was so extensive, that Publishers had to consider dividing the book into three separate publications of over two hundred pages each, in addition to removing over eighty images to significantly reduce its size and potentially high cost to the end user.

It took Mr. Adonis over fourteen months to write the book, which is now retails at Amazon and dozens of other retailers for between US$40 to US$60 per copy.

However, free samples of the CXC I.T textbook in lower quality Pdf format is available for download directly from the author's website at: www.dennisadonis.net or via Google Books, the Amazon.com reveal feature, or at Barnes and Nobel online.

Other books with distantly diverse topics have also been released by the same author, in the United Kingdom.

London, United Kingdom - Guyanese businessman, and software engineer, Dennis Adonis is peeved at the impunity with which a Guyana newspaper has continued to ridicule his name.
Referring to a recent article which sprouts up in search engine results under his name, the businessman reiterated that the paper has been vindictive to him ever since a company with which he was associated had foreclosed over two decades ago and was exonerated from any legal obligations to pay the newspaper on outstanding balances for ads.
The businessman stated that as a result of that incident, the paper had promised to ruin his reputation and has been mostly successful in doing so ever since. He added that his first experience came during a vetting process a few years ago by Uganda to appoint him Honorary Counsel General for that country in Guyana. The said paper immediately began to carry fictitious stories after getting wind of the impending Diplomatic appointment. The paper tirades nonetheless forced the Ugandan Government to withdraw any plans to appoint Adonis.
The businessman said that from then henceforth, he cannot pursue a single genuine business venture in peace as the paper (name withheld) would repeatedly run stories of slander and allegations to ward off potential clients and individuals desirous of doing business with him. In the end he would have no other choice but to close or cease to continue with the venture as the media report would often make the enterprise unsustainable.

He made reference to some of the purported comments carried by the paper and question why would a paper allow so-called bloggers to make insinuations that cannot be proven or is unsubstantiated.
When shown the articles in question, Queens counsel Theodore Schmidt, a notable British Barrister at Law on media issues, reiterated that the articles seems to be written with an outright objective to undermine the individual in question. He agreed that there are clear cases of slander in the articles itself and question the credibility of several of the comments the paper allowed to publish on its website.

Adonis has since hired Reputation Management Consultants Inc, a United States character repair firm and is currently raising the issue with Google and Yahoo as search engine libel. Google has already lost similar lawsuits filed by other complainants who have raised libelous search content result on themselves with the company.
However, a Google engineer told this publication that Mr. Adonis should raise his concerns with the publisher of the content first. And if materials that he believes to be libelous still continue to show up in the search results, then Google would investigate the complaint and remove the content in question if it is considered libel.
When questioned on this option, Adonis admitted that he has not raised the issue with the publisher of the content, but would do so through his publicist with the hope of finding an amicable resolve.
