For several years, Dianna Bonny has had the good fortune to stay at home with her three children. She and her family greatly enjoy horseback riding, and they are the proud owners of both a Tennessee Walker gelding and an Icelandic mare. Dianna Bonny is deeply involved in her children’s education. As a member of the Parent Teacher Association, she has organized fundraising benefits for two elementary schools.
In addition to nurturing her family, Dianna Bonny is actively involved in a variety of philanthropic activities. She has supported the efforts of Children’s Hospital since she was 13 years old. As a teenager, she volunteered as a candy striper, later working with children living with cystic fibrosis. Bonny functioned as president of the hospital’s junior fundraising division. Eventually, she held the title of President at San Diego’s North Coast Auxiliary Unit. The organization works with Rady Children’s Hospital to advocate for children’s health. Bonny was partly responsible for the establishment of Glamourama Girls’ Night Out, one of the Auxiliary Unit’s most successful fundraising events.
Dianna Bonny has supported efforts to increase awareness of and find a cure for leukemia. She has participated in the Honolulu Marathon as a member of the Leukemia Society Team in Training, helping to raise thousands of dollars for the cause. Bonny has also worked to raise funds for the treatment of cerebral palsy.
In her spare time, Dianna Bonny maintains several hobbies: she enjoys cultivating an organic garden, preparing meals, and practicing yoga and meditation. She is also involved in event planning and catering for smaller events on an occasional basis. Recently, she hosted a house concert for renowned singer-songwriter Steve Poltz.
