The legendary Autobots and the evil Decepticons have been reborn in recent years with the release of the incredibly successful movie franchise. 1. Optimus Prime

No other Transformer can really compete with Optimus prime, either in toughness, coolness, or sheers popularity. If you dress up as the heroic leader of the Autobots you are becoming one of the most recognisable and loved cartoon heroes of all time.

There are two types of costumes out there - the classic Optimus Prime, and the newer, jazzed up Optimus prime of the movies. The new one is mostly for kids, and there are many great costumes out there, with realistic robot parts sticking out all 3D from the body. Many with big chest sections and awesome helmets.

3. Megatron

To be different, why not become the evil lord of the Decepticons - Megatron. With all black and silver details, and real robot-looking parts, a good Megatron costume can really make you look the part.

This powerful evil transformer is great fun to dress up as, striking fear into everyone's hearts. Especially if you have some Bumblebees and Optimus Primes at the party too! Let the battle commence.
