Electric winch systems offer the convenience of auto power up/down at a simple press of a switch. Once a helm positioned button is pressed an anchor can lower or free-fall (dependent on system design), to the floor of a river or lake for a great hold.

Features to a quality winch unit include optional wireless operation, anti-drag system (senses the bottom of a riverbed for controlled drifting), auto retrieval and spooling of line, and in-built lighting for low-light conditions.

An anchor winch for a pontoon-constructed vessel is fixed with a rugged mounting plate to offer extra space, with the anchor roller extending further out from the rear platform to allow complete clearance of the pontoons.

A manual or anchor winch system is often simple to mount, comes complete with all hardware for ease in installation, and an optional switch unit that is mountable at the winch side or at a vessel's helm position for a more well located area.

An anchor system to mount on a small runabout, utility boat to pontoon or deck boat up to 24-feet in length offers ease in lowering or retrieving, so more time for boating or fishing.

Are you looking for adventure? Excitement? A story that will last you a lifetime? If so, then you need to look no further than the shores of the good old United States of America. To be more specific, you need to look no further than the low lying marsh lands of southern Florida. The Everglades make up one of the world’s most interesting and complex ecosystems, and cover over seven hundred and thirty square miles of wilderness and swamp. Unlike so much of the rest of the eastern United States, the Everglades are still very much untamed and are home to a stunning array of wildlife and nature.

Originally, the Everglades were much larger. It is estimated by some agricultural experts that over half the original marsh land has been converted to agricultural farm lands or used for similar purposes. Today, fortunately, most of the Everglades are protected by the federal government as part of the United States national park system. The Everglades remain a wonderful and wild place to explore for you and other Americans because of this conservation.

What better way to explore such a wild swampy area than with a high powered airboat? The Everglades is a huge area, and part of it borders the great city of Miami, from which a number of Everglades tours can be booked or chartered. Especially popular are the fast and adventurous airboat tours. Airboats, or fan boats, are very shallow-drafted flat bottom boats specifically designed for swamp travel. They are powered by a single very large fan attached to a car or aircraft engine mounted above the body of the boat. Because of the air boat’s shallow draft and above water propulsion system, it can travel through water only a few inches deep, and it is even capable of skidding for brief distances across sand or bare ground.

If you’re visiting Miami or one of the many other cities bordering the Everglades national park, make sure to check into the multitude of tour options available to you. recreation

1. Paperback Christmas Tree - This is actually an old favorite of mine, and I've always preferred phonebooks but they take the longest and are becoming harder to find these days.

2. Clay-Pot Elf - Small clay pots, colored felt, and holiday paint will just about do it, and these things are so cute when they are done it's pretty much a no brainer.

3. Glass Jar Snow Globe - Snow globes are fun to watch, fun to make and can bring back a lot of memories, at least for me anyway.

4. Pine cone Christmas Tree Ornaments - Get the cones a year early from the woods and dry them, or just buy them at a craft store pre dried and ready for use. These ornaments help bring the outdoors into your living room, and obviously look great on your Christmas tree.

5. Wrapping Paper Bows - Carefully save your wrapping paper each year and make these for very little cost and effort. You'll be saving money and the environment all at once.

6. Tomato Cage Christmas Tree - Stock up on the tomato cages during planting season so you don't run short. Also, when you buy them in season they will be less expensive and easier to find.

7. Washcloth Snowman - No need to buy expensive wash cloths as cheap ones will do just fine and will last for years to come. The finished project will look great sitting on a mantle, or as a centerpiece at a holiday table.

8. Styrofoam Angel - Just about as quick and easy as it gets 'cause they are pre-shaped, and "appendages" are easy to apply. Kids will love getting involved with this craft adventure because the visual results are almost instantaneous.

9. Recycled Christmas Card Ornaments - Recycling is always good, especially when it's done in such a fun way, and the finished product has a nice colorful presence along with a unique geometric shape.

10.
Go Outdoors

In reality they don't, stocked trout do. To me stocked trout are kind of like those goldfish in the pet store. I simply don't like the fact that stocked trout are raised in an aquarium, and then released so that we can "catch" them. But I suppose the point is that they do eat those 3 baits. The other point is that no matter what I think about stocked trout, when the rivers are too high to fish, I go to my local lake and catch them. So I suppose when it comes to stocked trout, I'm a bit of a hypocrite.

After these three baits, we have the synthetic baits. These are the trout bait that come in little jars. I'm sure you know what I'm referring to? The most popular type is probably Berkley Powerbait. For these stocked trout that I was just railing against, these baits work great! Powerbait, still fished on a set of gang hooks, is a deadly combination for catching trout in a lake that has been stocked. For stocked trout, which most trout in lakes, synthetic trout baits are hard to beat. My friends and I have joked that they must feed the trout this stuff in the hatcheries, because they freakin' love it!

There are also the live baits. Trout baits such as mealworms, maggots, crickets, grasshoppers, and of course the grand daddy of them all, the worm. A live worm is probably the best trout bait that God ever created. I've personally caught more trout using a live worm rigged on a set of gang hooks than I care to remember. The combination is truly deadly. Especially when drifted down the current of a flowing river. In my mind a live worm rigged on a set of pre-tied gang hooks and then bounced off the bottom of a flowing river or stream is, hands down, the best trout bait.

All of the trout baits mentioned in this article are effective. They all have their time and place, but if you put a gun to my head and made me choose just one trout bait it would be the good old American worm!

After you spend all these long days at work, in some office or inside your home, you deserve at the end of the week something to get you out of the ordinary. Participate in activities that will get your muscles and senses to work, so you can be prepared for another hard week of work. The best way you can spend your weekends, and any spare time you may have is outdoors. This it means to choose any type of recreational activity you can have outside your home in the wild nature.

There are many activities from which you can choose according with your temperament and your idea of comfort and relaxation. For example you can go riding, hiking, skiing, diving, fishing, camping or any other thing a person can do to feel all the nature's energy getting inside his body. Beside physical activities you can go for others which are not involving physical strength. These may be meditation, yoga, painting, reading, photography and many other things. Spending time outdoor purpose is to release your self from all the stress and find a new you each weekend. recreation
