Prior to her work with the Cancurables Foundation, Kristin Geer enjoyed a lengthy career as a news anchor and investigative reporter for local news stations KTHI/KVLY-TV in Fargo, North Dakota; KPVI-TV in Pocatello, Idaho; Fox 23 News in Albany, New York; and KSTP-TV in Minneapolis. During her career, Geer earned numerous awards for her investigative work, including three Emmy awards, two regional Edward R. Murrow awards, and two Society of Professional Journalists Investigative awards. Geer was honored for her work in research and education by the Angel Foundation, an organization that helps families throughout Minnesota cope with the emotional and financial impact of cancer.
Outside of the Cancurables Foundation, Kristin Geer also serves as a benefit committee member for the PACER Foundation. In her free time, she leads an active life and enjoys traveling, golf, yoga, running, reading, and attending various Minnesota sporting events. Geer also explores her creative side through art appreciation, cooking, genealogy, and music concerts. Geer most enjoys being with her husband and their three-year-old child, attending charity events, and being involved in the Colonial Church.
