Lina Sinha graduated in 1987 with an undergraduate degree from Columbia College. She went on to earn her MA from Columbia University in 1988, followed by her Masters in Education from Columbia University in 1989. In 1996, Lina Sinha received an advanced certificate from New York University. She went on to become a teacher, and spends her free time staying active. From running, to playing tennis, to skiing, Lina Sinha enjoys sports and being outdoors. In addition, Lina Sinha is an active volunteer in New York City, and has volunteered with the Special Olympics, St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Emergency Room in Manhattan and Methodist Hospital in Park Slope Brooklyn.

While education is what Lina Sinha attended Columbia College (1987) and Columbia University (1988, 1989) for, she is truly happy when she is helping others. From the Special Olympics to volunteering in NYC emergency rooms, Lina Sinha does her best to better her local community. She is also a volunteer for ASPCA and a member of PETA. In 2010, Lina Sinha ran the NYC half marathon with the New York Road Runner’s Club in memory of her aunt. In 2011, she donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in memory of a family friend.
