Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the Medical Group Management Association, Michael Mihora has served in healthcare business operations for more than two decades. Michael Mihora started his career in financial departments after earning his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from the University of Michigan. After six years and concurrent to his Masters in Business Administration from Lake Superior State University, Michael Mihora shifted to senior administrative and executive operational roles. Michael Mihora has strengthened patient services and increased profitability for many healthcare facilities during his career.

Michael Mihora helped form and currently directs the non-profit corporation Alii Health Center. Recruiting physicians and taking over management of their practices, Michael Mihora establishes patient care for residents living in West Hawaii. Michael Mihora and Alii Health Center is affiliated with Kona Community Hospital, part of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation. In just two years in these positions, Michael Mihora has participated in the ground breaking on an Ambulatory Surgery Center in West Hawaii. Michael Mihora also increased Alii Health’s operations to exceed $5.5 million per year. Michael Mihora’s efforts have resulted in 33 employees and 11 physicians in 6 different locations. Before working with Alii Health and Kona Community Hospital, Michael Mihora served as Chief Executive Officer at Bay Clinic, Inc.

For the majority of his career, Michael Mihora improved business for several hospitals and medical care institutions throughout Michigan. Michael Mihora held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer with Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan, Michigan, for nearly five years. Managing a hospital that employed 30 physicians and housed 96 licensed beds, Michael Mihora increased provider care by employing 18 new full-time physicians. During this time, Michael Mihora also expanded operations with the construction of a new 43,000 square foot facility. Michael Mihora achieved the hospital’s most successful financial year in its history in 2003.
