Nick S Williams

An alumnus of the University of Virginia School of Law, Mr. Nick Sondhi Williams has come a long way since he obtained his Juris Doctor. Nick S. Williams commenced his career as an Associate at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, where he first began to fine-tune his litigation skills. Over the next 10 years, Williams continued to take on positions of increasing responsibility and complexity. Nick S. Williams was offered a position as an Associate with Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP. For the next seven years, Nick S. Williams represented a variety of corporate clients in matters such as defense of commercial and investment banks against allegations of fraud, securities fraud, and negligent misrepresentation; commercial contractual disputes; and employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour discrepancies. Nick S. Williams practiced in an independent capacity from 2006 to 2008, representing smaller corporate clients in commercial litigation matters, as well as a variety of investment bank employees in employment disputes. Most recently, Nick S. Williams served as a Senior Associate for Barroway Topaz Kessler Meltzer & Check, LLP, where he led strategy development and litigation of 10 to 20 putative class action lawsuits. Nick S. Williams also first-chaired more than 20 depositions; prepared and argued dispositive, discovery, and certification motions; and appeared before Judicial Panels on multi-district litigation. Today, Nick S. Williams serves as a Partner at Williams LLP, where he leads litigation endeavors in areas of general commercial, corporate, copyright, and other civil matters. Having begun his tenure with Williams LLP in June 2009, Nick S. Williams has already made a significant impact on the firm with achievements such as securing a temporary restraining order against a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) provider for copyright infringement. Nick S. Williams also defended the president of a pharmaceutical company in a $25 million claim for commissions. A current member in good standing of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the New York State Bar Association, Nick S. Williams has been admitted to the District of Columbia Bar; the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York; and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Nick S. Williams also serves as an Advocate for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA).
