NEW YORK CITY MISSION SOCIETY

New York City Mission Society has been helping individuals and communities in need for longer than any other human services organization in New York City.  Since our inception in 1812, it has been our mission to help New York City's most underserved children and families to learn, achieve and succeed. We accomplish this by providing the resources needed to open new pathways for young people and families to move from the hopelessness of poverty to successful self-sufficiency and a brighter future.

Last year, New York City Mission Society touched the lives of nearly 10,000 children and families living in economically-challenged neighborhoods in Harlem, the South Bronx and Brooklyn.

Our programs utilize four core program strategies: education, prevention services, personal growth and development, and arts and recreation.
