Peter Bailey

Having held several high-level positions at various technology companies, Peter Bailey is a skilled leader with extensive experience in the telecommunications, technology, and media sectors. An entrepreneur driven to succeed, Peter Bailey has also been a founding member of several businesses. Peter Bailey currently runs Vertical Communications, a leading IP telephony software and systems vendor based in Silicon Valley. Peter Bailey co-founded Vertical Communications in 2004, leveraging his experience in next generation networking and telecommunications. Previously the Company's Senior Vice President of Product Management and Business Development, Peter Bailey now serves as Vertical's President and Chief Operating Officer. Peter Bailey's managerial responsibilities include the daily direction of sales, marketing, product development, and operations for the company. He also directs the company's strategic relationships and helped lead the acquisition and financing transactions to acquire the four businesses that make up Vertical's current operating assets. Prior to Vertical Communications, Peter Bailey was responsible for the next-generation networking banking practice at ThinkEquity Partners, based in San Francisco. Prior to ThinkEquity, Peter Bailey oversaw Corporate and Business Development for Carrier1 International S.A., a pan-European alternative telecommunications service provider based in Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to Carrier1, Peter Bailey was co-founder of Convergence Media, a digital media publishing startup located in New York City. Peter Bailey began his career in investment banking with Salomon Brothers in New York City. Peter Bailey graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English from Princeton University, where he was named to the All-Ivy League football team and received the Richard W. Colman Scholar-Athlete Award. Always in pursuit of a healthy, active, and balanced lifestyle, Peter Bailey is a competitive cyclist and holds a great love for hiking and skiing in the High Sierras. Peter Bailey is also an avid supporter of the American Brain Tumor Association as well as Doctors Without Borders. Most of all, Peter Bailey enjoys spending time with his wife and son, as well as his extended family and friends.
