Renaldo Bernard

I go by the name Renaldo Bernard, I am a 21 year old Psychology (Hons) graduate from the island of Barbados. I'm interested in everything surrounding internet technology mostly, the digital world and how these things impact on individuals from a psychological perspective.

Having been in web development since I was 16, web design has been a huge interest of mine growing up and my main source of income (www.bernardca.com) throughout my undergraduate years at the University of the West Indies (UWI) at Cave Hill. For a while I was thinking about how I can merge my interest in web development and my love for Psychology and sometime after I stumbled across the term Cyberpsychology and my eyes lit up.

My current research interest lies with identity and self-presentation online and I'm looking forward to developing a framework for web developers to help increase website effectiveness and reduce website failure. Also researching other emerging areas in Cyberpsychology is of importance to me.

On the lighter side I rock to rock, catch me on the floorJ. Right now I'm listening to Robyn, the Veronicas, Michael Bublé and Adele. I have a small music library of just over 2000 songs so intermediately I listen to other artists. I also enjoy photography and editing pictures; it's really incredible what photoshop can do to an ogre (see my photostream on Flickr).
