Anthony D Altavilla

It's no secret that Anthony D. Altavilla loves football. He's always watching games on television, reading about games online and in the newspaper and talking up football to his friends and family members. In fact, he thinks the game is so important that he devotes some of his rare free time to help coach young people as they learn to play football.  

 

Anthony D. Altavilla is a Carmel Dad's Club Football Coach. This means that he can be found on the football field throughout the season, coaching youngsters through drills, exercises, scrimmages and games. He's constantly stressing fundamentals, like footwork and ball handling, and he's known for being an incredibly tough coach. Anthony D. Altavilla is the coach the players want if they truly wish to improve their games and learn how to be better football players. While Anthony D. Altavilla isn't stingy with praise and he can lavish performing players with lots of compliments and words of encouragement, he's the first person to point out a mistake in the hopes of helping players improve.

Students listen to Anthony D. Altavilla as he coaches because he's got the experience to back up his advice. He's in the Rumson-Fair Haven High School Hall of Fame in Football. He was All-Time Reception Leader for in 1984, when he attended Wabash College. He was voted Most Valuable Player by his teammates in 1984. Students like to learn from people who actually know how to play the game, rather than from people who can just talk about the game and not play it themselves.

Anthony D. Altavilla thinks football is incredibly important for students to learn and play. Through playing football, they learn how to work together as one common unit directed toward one single goal. This sort of teamwork and focus will be important for students as they enter the workforce. Football also teaches students to focus and reduce distractions. They have a role to play, and any minor slip in attention could cause them to miss out on achieving their goals. This, again, is important in the business world. Plus football is downright fun, Anthony D. Altavilla says, and he loves sharing his passion for the sport with new players.
