Bharti Jogia-Sattar

Currently an independent consultant, Bharti Jogia-Sattar holds more than a decade of experience in accounting and financial services. Bharti Jogia-Sattar focuses primarily on operational procedures that streamline companies and facilitate expansion, including process automation and system development. She engages with clients in month-end accounting procedures and provides forecasting, analysis, and financial reporting functions. She also provides cost optimization, outstanding reconciliation issues, development of internal controls, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions on an as-needed basis.

Prior to her current position, BJ Sattar served as Vice President and Controller of Lionsgate Entertainment, Inc., in Santa Monica, California. In this position, she liaised between executive team management and multiple business units on issues related to strategic initiatives, fiscal planning, and financial reporting. Bharti Jogia-Sattar undertook focused analysis of spend data trends, achieving total cost reductions of $7.5 million. She also supported key business initiatives through financial planning and analysis modeling and segment analysis, engaging closely in footnote presentation and disclosure issues and consolidating Lionsgate Entertainment's 10Q/10K Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting functions.

From 2006 to 2008, Bharti Jogia-Sattar held a similar position with Westlake Village, California-based Countrywide Capital Markets, LLC. She worked in a diversification-focused business unit within the company, which managed a commercial loan inventory of between $15 and $30 million. She undertook comprehensive financial data analysis and compiled financial statements for management, also assisting in the monthly close process, and in account reconciliations and analysis. She also performed 10Q/10K SEC filings and other regulatory reporting. Bharti Jogia-Sattar studied Chemistry at Bryn Mawr College and holds a degree in Chemistry & Business Management from Eastern Michigan University. She also earned a Certificate in Accounting from the University of California Los Angeles, California.
