Throughout my posts you certainly will often hear me discussing training in a position called 'The Pit'. Putting it simple The Pit is my Cheap Fitness Equipment I have arrange in the garage with my home. I don't know how I invented the name, but it's stuck. I think naming it was eventually my way of feeling like My organization is a member of a gym. I now have my mates and Mrs. Niko phoning it The Pit.
Why to arrange a home Gym?
Throughout my life I have been a member of various commercial gyms in a variety of locations within Queensland, Queensland. The last time I was an associate of a commercial gym was around June 2007. I remember this time specifically given it was around the period my first son was born and it was just before my 30th birthday. Do your best my gym membership expired and I decided not to renew it as I was never addressing the gym due to being pretty time bad. I decided instead of spending money on renewing my membership at the gym, to get a house gym set for my own 30th birthday, my theory being that i could save on travel time and for that reason spend more time with our neighbors. The decision to discover the home gym set developed into one of the preferred decisions I ever made with regards to my fitness.

I have always been an advocate of free lifting so I decided to purchase a an adjustable bench with a pulldown attachment, a stack of free weights, a bar and a few adjustable dumbbells. Not being overly flushed for cash as we had just had some of our first child, I decided to the bench brand innovative, and source the entire equipment 2nd hand. Further to save money I chose to buy standard barbells and bar, not olympic weights and bar. This selection was a purely expense based decision. When it came to selecting the bar together with dumbbell my selection criteria was to buy equipment that was relatively rust free with spin lock collars. Whilst spin lock collars are more time consuming to defend myself against and off the watering hole and dumbbells, I like the safety they provide, given that most of the time I would be training alone. My criteria for selecting weights was I want the plates to come in pairs. By that Air cleaner will add if I was to buy a 10kg plate Needed it's matching equivalent. My reasoning is that there is slight variances in that manufacturing process, from one factory even to another.

Besides wanting the plates in the future in pairs I experienced no other specific criteria except I want them to be essentially rust free. My considering was weight is weight, I don't care when it looked pretty As i jut wanted weight, and many it. With my budget and considering that brand new standard weights inside shops retail for concerning $3 (Australian Dollars) per kilogram, I would not have been able to build much of a Exercise Bench with brand new weights. Instead I searched ebay and my local papers for individuals selling weights. You is surprised how cheap people are selling weights for. Most people want to get the weights using their houses as they are taking up room. Another source of equipment was mates, who just wanted to reduce weights that were resting under their houses or on their sheds taking up room. I had 2 mates who said We could have their equipment as it was just taking up room they will didn't have and on the list of not intention or room to arrange a gym at property. Think about it practically, there must be vast amounts of kilo of weights sitting in peoples home. Companies keep turning it into, retailers keep selling, but this is the truly unique product, that unless omitted in the elements, will outlast most of the people who buy it.
