J'ai découvert Internet en 1987 (He oui, les VNews existaient déjà !) et depuis c'est une passion qui m'a fait (bien) vivre jusqu'à présent et j'espèe encore jusqu'à l'emmergence du Web 6.0. Smile. Les concepts du Semantic Web me passionnent et plus généralement le fantatique potentiel des utilisations d'XML. Mon engagement majeur a été de soutenir l'adoption des standards ROSETTANET ainsi que ceux du W3C.

Je ne suis pas un technicien mais bien plus un marketer et un gestionnaire dont le terrain de jeu n'a pas de frontière. J'accorde beaucoup plus d'importance aux relations humaines et à la capacité que nous avons à nous adapter qu'aux technologies de l'instant présent.

Ceci dit, ne croyez pas que ma vie se passe uniquement derrière un écran... je vis entre Genève et Annecy et je profite pleinement des atouts de la région, du ski aux randonnées en montagne..... , ou de voyages plus lointains que cela soit pour des raisons professionnelles ou privées.

Jean-Claude started his career as Finance Executive Director before to follow a marketing and IT paths at DIGITAL Equipment Europe as International Marketing Manager between 1984 and 1994. As CEO of a 400 employees educational institution, he enjoyed to boost the Gross Margin (+25%) of this entity in less than 2 years. For 6.5 years (1999 to 2005), he was Corporate e-Business Manager for STMicroelectronics (WW). As such, he contributed to the definition of new marketing approaches involving IT as well as System-to-System process definitions with RosettaNet and other XML consortia. One of his focus is e-Marketing including Search Engine Marketing and 1to1 marketing. He played the role of evangelist toward advanced e-Marketing approaches. JC is the author of 4 best seller books targeting VP Marketing,CIO, DSI and other C* level executives covering various aspects of the e-Business and marketing paradigms. Jean-Claude holds a Ph.D. in Management. As side activities he remains professional ski instructor, teacher and author.

I'm looking for a senior position in Marketing and/or IT such as VP marketing, CMO, Marketing Director, CIO, DSI, e-Marketing Director or VP. Ideally, I would like to operate from Geneva (Switzerland), but I will also consider positions elsewhere in the World. I will bring more than 15 years of management experience in the High-Tech and Tourism arena backed by a Ph.D. Result oriented, I can help your organization to boost its business adopting the marketing strategy of the 21st century and at the same time increase dramatically its RONA.     Under this brand, I mainly act as a searcher, speaker and author or R&D agent to cover topics such as Web 2.0, Travel 2.0, including AJAX, RSS, RIA, Social Networks, blogs, wiki, XML standards, semantic web, Search Engine Marketing, e-Marketing implications on the day to day business with the aim to help the organizations and executives to improve their performances.

    As CEO for this SME, the prime objective was to turn this brick-n-mortar 25 years Tour Operator into a performing click-n-mortar operation using the Web 2.0 and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) approaches. After few months of activity the web traffic increased by 266%. Human resources management has been aligned on the EFQM and Hays standards each employee having an objective clearly defined.

    Worlwide e-Business strategy definition and implementation including XML based exchanges in this BtoB environment and Interactive Marketing approaches. Creation of an e-Business excellence center in Lugano. Planing, design & implementaton of an Extranet used by 175 customers. Leadership of a set of e-Marketing innovation programs including : RSS, XML, SVG, Dublin Core and Semantic web approaches. Chairman of the e-Commerce expert group for ESIA and alternate board member for the ROSETTANET consortium as well as member of the Marketing committee.
