After graduating from the Duke University School of Law in North Carolina in 2009, Jeffrey Armington obtained employment at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, based in Chicago, Illinois. As a Restructuring Associate for the firm, he worked on complex cases primarily for debtors, drafting documents and analyzing agreements. Notable clients Armington served include Visteon Corporation, Aliante Gaming, LLC, Innkeepers USA Trust, and the Chicago Newspaper Liquidation Corp.
In 2011, Jeffrey Armington became an associate attorney with Dorsey & Whitney, where he continues to expand his repertoire of services. Representing both creditors and debtors in Chapter 7 liquidation cases and Chapter 11 restructuring cases, he handles the related bankruptcy litigation proceedings and drafts documents.
After graduating from law school, Armington accepted a PILI fellowship with the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago. As a certified mediator with the nonprofit organization, he managed a variety of cases and conducted research related to mediation and dispute resolution. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, playing golf, and traveling.
