Jeremy Stamper’s entrepreneurial spirit has provided him with many opportunities to soar in the business world. Stamper’s fly-high, think-big approach to business has led to his success, and Stamper’s plan is to reach the stars yet again with his new venture, Topic5 LLC.
As the founder and CEO of this Seattle-based Internet services company, Mr. Stamper manages the overall operations, including business development, hiring, web development and marketing, for Topic5. In an innovative business move, Mr. Stamper developed the company with no outside investment, and instead, used viral marketing and free media to build traffic. Stamper is currently preparing Topic5’s launch, slated for Fall 2008.
But Topic5 isn’t the first time Mr. Stamper has laid down new business tracks.
In 2005, Stamper founded Progressive Homesellers, a Seattle real estate brokerage firm. Stamper connected home sellers with prescreened agents at brokerages like Coldwell Banker and Prudential who take listings for a flat $3995 instead of the traditional 3% listing commission. As a former real estate agent, Stamper envisioned a low cost, flat-fee future for conducting real estate business. Stamper developed the company to save home sellers nationwide thousands of dollars in commissions. The press, including affiliates of NBC and PRNewswire, has frequently covered Stamper’s fresh idea that changed the real estate business.
Before Progressive Homesellers, Stamper served as founder and CEO for The Delaware Company from 2002 to 2006. While acting as Chairman, Stamper built the business into one of the country’s largest and most successful online incorporation service companies. Stamper also led it to a successful acquisition by Wolters Kluwer (NL:WKL), a global multibillion-dollar revenue professional products and services corporation.
Jeremy Stamper studied Government and earned his degree at Connecticut College in 1995. Stamper is now based in Seattle, Washington, and has built his impressive business resume from that area.
