Jesse Masek

 

Over the course of his career, Mr. Jesse Masek has held a wide variety of positions in a number of areas, including tourism and hospitality management, retail management, office management, and military service. A recent recipient of the Graduate Certificate in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, Jesse Masek hopes to leverage his diverse experience toward a career in the accounting industry and is currently preparing to take the Massachusetts Certified Public Accountant examination.

 

While he prepares for the CPA exam, Jesse Masek is currently employed by two businesses based in Vineyard Havens, Massachusetts: Martha's Vineyard Hardwood Floors, Inc. and Martha's Vineyard Ocean Sports, LLC. For Martha's Vineyard Hardwood Floors, Jesse Masek serves in the role of Office Manager. In this position, Jesse Masek is responsible for the majority of the company's daily operations, including managing the logistics and maintenance of the company's trucks, preparing detailed work estimates and billing invoices, and supervising the efforts of eight trained flooring technicians. For Martha's Vineyard Ocean Sports, Jesse Masek serves as the manager of the company's seasonal water sport activities, which include parasailing and boat and jet ski rentals. In this position, Jesse Masek manages pricing, marketing, booking, billing, and daily and weekly cash flows for the business, as well as works closely with the myriad hotels and tourism companies in the area. Outside of office management, Jesse Masek also serves as the U.S. Coast Guard certified captain of the company's 32' Paracraft Warrior Winchboat and regularly leads daily charters and multi-boat tours.

 

In addition to his Graduate Certificate in Accounting, Jesse Masek holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and an Associate degree from Cape Fear Community College. Beyond his formal education, Jesse Masek is certified as a Licensed Captain by the U.S. Coast Guard and participated in Fire Fighting School and Naval Aircraft Maintenance School.
