As the Chief Information Officer of the Pharmaceutical Research and Development division of Johnson & Johnson, Mr. John Reynders is instrumental in providing the company’s Pharmaceutical R&D organization with the tools they need in order to discover and develop new medicines. Working with IT teams throughout Johnson & Johnson’s global pharmaceutical facilities, John Reynders focuses on streamlining various IT and Informatics functions while delivering significant value to research partners. In achieving these objectives, John Reynders oversees one of the largest and most complex Information Technology organizations across the Johnson & Johnson family of companies. An IEEE Certified Software Development Professional, John Reynders holds several patents. Additionally, John Reynders is an accomplished author whose work has been featured in several peer-reviewed and popular publications. John Reynders has also been invited to speak in various public capacities, including Bio-IT World and IEEE Supercomputing. John Reynders has been an active member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the American Physical Society (APS), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). John Reynders matriculated at Princeton University, where he obtained his PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics. A dedicated student, John Reynders earned the Ray Grimm Memorial Prize for Computational Physics and was an Office of Naval Research Fellow. John Reynders also holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute – where he graduated summa cum laude. Passionate about helping others, John Reynders pursues a variety of charitable interests both through his church and independently. John Reynders contributes to organizations such as the Special Olympics, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Society. In his down time, John Reynders enjoys playing chess, practicing Tae Kwon Do, keeping up with his Bible study, and spending time with his loved ones. John Reynders is currently a resident of Newton, Massachusetts.
