Partnering with various charitable organizations throughout her career, Scottsdale, Arizona-based pediatric dentist Dr. Julie Anfinson applies oral health knowledge and skills to patients with a wide range of dental needs. In addition to treating adolescent, juvenile, and infant patients at Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, which she owns, Dr. Anfinson holds active membership in numerous professional groups. Julie Anfinson, DDS, sits on the Council of Clinical Affairs committee at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, where she currently serves as a fellow, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

When she is not treating pediatric patients, Dr. Julie Anfinson works in the local dental community. A member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association, Julie Anfinson, DDS, applies her professional expertise to the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners as a consultant completing site visits and reviewing applications for dental practitioners requesting oral conscious sedation licenses. Additionally, Dr. Anfinson is on staff at several area medical centers and volunteers with the Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The not-for-profit organization offers dental services to children from low-income families.

Dr. Anfinson continues to work with the Boys and Girls Club of America and donates time to the annual Arizona Coalition for Tomorrow Kids Health Fair in Scottsdale, advocating for the education and well-being of disadvantaged youth. Additionally, Dr. Anfinson supports the John C. Lincoln Dental Clinic and the Salvation Army.

Julie Anfinson, DDS, completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa, before earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Anfinson finished a general residency program in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center and earned a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from the Dallas, Texas-based Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Anfinson has resided in Arizona since 1987.
