Linda Orlans is a practicing attorney and the quintessential entrepreneur. Since 1996 she has launched and grown five business ventures that directly support Michigan’s economy. As President and CEO of Orlans Associates, a law firm with real property specialization, and eTitle, a title and settlement company, she employs more than 500 associates; the majority in southeastern Michigan.
Under her stewardship, the enterprise has produced continuous growth and has enabled her companies to represent the major lenders in the mortgage banking industry. Among those lenders, she has been appointed Designated Counsel for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, a distinction that denotes best in class status.
Ms. Orlans’ philanthropy and commitment to the communities in which she does business is well known. Her companies’ corporate values stress financial responsibility, innovation, determination, compassion and accountability; all of which she strives to bring to the community at large. She is especially passionate about preserving the American Dream of homeownership. An avid goal setter, Ms. Orlans has publicly challenged herself to aid one million people to purchase and retain their homes through employment opportunities, home retention educational programs, and through eTitle’s role in actively lowering the cost of homeownership. Linda takes personal pride in eTitle’s ability to serve first-time homebuyers and directly support affordable housing. Linda was also instrumental in bringing HOPE (Home Ownership Preservation Enterprise) to Detroit. HOPE is an organization that helps homeowners keep their homes when facing foreclosure.
Ms. Orlans serves on numerous local boards, including MSU College of Law, Trustee; Junior Achievement, Executive Committee and Fundraising Chair; Beyond Basics, Legal Counsel; Beaumont Foundation’s First Words Society, Founder and President; Inforum Center for Leadership; and the CREW Advisory Board; among others.
