Timothy Taylor is the founder, owner and President of Ocean Reef Resorts. He founded Ocean Reef Resorts with his wife, Becky, in 1982.  Tim and Becky met in Waikiki, where he was in the hotel business after attending the University of Hawaii College of Business Administration. They enjoyed diving and fishing together in Hawaii until Tim got an offer from Sandestin Resort. The spectacular fishing and diving opportunities of the Destin region made it an easy change.

Seven years later, Tim and Becky had the opportunity to start a business featuring vacation rentals and property management - Ocean Reef Resorts.  Over 26 years, Ocean Reef Resorts has grown from a small, two-person business venture to one of the biggest companies in vacation properties and property management. Today, Ocean Reef Resorts employs 12 real estate agents and 25 full time vacation rental department staff. In vacation season, the staff can swell to over 125 people. A second office located between Alys and Rosemary Beach is going to open its doors soon.

Tim and Becky envisioned something more to Ocean Reef Resorts than just rentals and management. Visitors and residents alike benefit from the professionally managed properties that provide not only a comfortable residence, but a great 'home base' to start exploring Destin from. Ocean Reef Resorts also contributes to the Destin community though donations used forcharitable contributions and in support of local schools. When he is not overseeing the development of Ocean Reef Resorts, Tim enjoys spending time with his family. He and Becky still find time for sport fishing and participate in the annual Destin Fishing Rodeo.
