“Family law attorney Tate Frederick Justesen comes to his work at Stahancyk, Kent & Hook P.C. with the hope of helping others.”
Attorney Tate Frederick Justesen attended Oregon State University for his undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Business Administration. Later, Tate Frederick Justesen enrolled at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, to obtain his law degree - receiving a merit scholarship every year he studied there. During his time at Lewis & Clark, Tate Frederick Justesen also interned with a small law firm that handled contracts and real property cases and provided his services to the Multnomah County Circuit Court's restraining order room. Tate Frederick Justesen also spent time at the City Attorney's Office of a small city in Oregon, where he gained valuable trial experience. After earning his law degree in 2008, Tate Frederick Justesen joined Stahancyk, Kent & Hook, a family law and estate planning firm with branches in Portland, Prineville, Vancouver, Astoria, and Bend. As an attorney, Tate Frederick Justesen concentrates his practice on family law and represents a diverse clientele in domestic relations matters, including divorce and separation, modifications of custody and parenting time arrangements, spousal support (alimony), and child support. Tate Frederick Justesen has represented a full spectrum of clients, from single parents seeking custody to large business owners seeking to preserve their interest in the companies they've worked to create. Prior to his experience with Stahancyk, Kent & Hook, Tate Frederick Justesen assisted the Western Resources Legal Center with federal livestock grazing rights issues and worked for a family law firm in Multnomah County, Oregon. A member of Oregon State Bar and Multnomah Bar Association, Tate Frederick Justesen serves his community by offering legal guidance at the St. Andrew Legal Clinic, representing children on a pro bono basis who are caught in the middle of highly contested domestic relations cases and beautifying the Clackamas River during annual cleanup efforts. During his spare time, Tate Frederick Justesen enjoys hiking, riding horses, whitewater rafting, watching movies, dining at eclectic restaurants, and reading books (he'll read just about anything, but thoroughly enjoys Mark Twain).
