Louie was returned to us today after a month placement. He's wondrous with other dogs, the mammoth-sized tortoise, the multi-family members - he is not wondrous with visiting men or men at the dog park. We did not see this during the month Louie was in our care before placement - he was exceptionally congenial and affectionate with everyone. Louie is about a year old. He'll now need to be placed in a more-protective home environment. www.friendsforpets.org/

 Prince is handsome, well-mannered, gentle, house-trained. He was released by owner due to work-hours and the family's thought that he was not receiving optimum attention and time.

 The orange dude is Travis and the dark calico is Lacey. Travis is 3 times the size of Lacey. Didn't matter, Lacey was such *THE* instigator. Attacking everyone in sight then running away. Here Travis holds her down! heeheee. Believe me, Lacey had it coming!

 My friend Laura is currently fostering these 7 Wonders Kitties! Here is what Laura says:

1 male brown tiger, 1 female brown tiger, 1 male black and white, 3 female black and calico with white feet, 1 female tiger and calico. All seven are sweet and loving and very playful! Born on May 1 (approx), these sweet seven were abandoned without their mothers at an unsuspecting farm by irresponsible pet owners. Luckily they were rescued by a friend and given to me to foster. They will be tested and given their first round of vaccines. Please consider meeting and adopting a homeless kitten. You won’t be disappointed! PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS TO CONTROL THE CAT POPULATION

Laura managed to get all the kitties still for this photo! Great job, Laura and thanks for being a great mama!

 Try a word
To make a word
That is just what it is
Not divisive
Not so full of juice
As the word juice
Example: mother.
You try to use that word
And have it mean just that.
Mother. Mom. Mum and life.
You need a great swoon
Of letters just to describe
Precicely what or how
Not to mention when
This mother of yours
Means.
So to hell with her.
To hell with you.
I’ll be back tomorrow.

 You are nobody. Or you are a friend. I shall – no, I will – also shout, because I love
That, hell, I don’t even know what I’m saying here. For you. That I was not supposed to say.
by Lewis Carroll

 ‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

 “Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”

 He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

 And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

 One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

 “And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.

 ‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
